Hi all, I found this site thanks to the link in the Harvest Supper email – wow, it looks great! It’s really inspiring me to make more use of my membership and I’ve already got a couple of new ideas for things I can offer. The change of name makes sense too, it’ll hopefully encourage more of us Weymouth lot to be involved. I wonder if perhaps I could get hold of a few information leaflets or membership packs, so I can put the word around down here? I go to quite a few mother and baby groups, therefore know lots of mums who may well join for the chance of some domestic help/babysitting/etc.
Good work LETS team!

Hi all,
The mushroom foray was my first experience of Dorchester and South Dorset LETS and even though not a single edible fungi was to be found it was enough to encourage Steve and I to join up for more activities and fun (this must be the Andy McKee ‘keep them anxious for more’ philosophy at work!)
I finally got my details to Jenny this month and am happily browsing the directory and fabulous web site thinking about possible trades as well as looking forward to the next meeting…
So withthat in mind, hope to trade with you soon,
Linda and Steve (Martinstown residents and Transition Town Dorchester members)

I want to say a big THANK YOU to Justine Oakley who organised a BLITZ IT gang to clear out a load of weeds from my garden on Sunday 10th May 2009. Also a big thanks to garden gang members Simon and Nicky Osborne Jackson and also to James who supported and entertained us throughout the day! Although we were a comparitively small group, it was amazing how much work we got done!
Have you joined a BLITZ IT gang yet? I have volunteered myself for the Cleaning and Moving gang. Those big jobs are so much easier with the help of a few LETS BLITZ IT friends!

Hello everyone
I’m very pleased to see our LETS group arriving in the 21st century (I hope not kicking and screaming!). Well done to all of you involved in getting the website up and running and also thanks to all who give up their time to do admin.I never seem to be able to make it to events to say these kind of things in person and with this site it will be easier for me to keep up to date.MUCH APPRECIATED.
I have been a member of this laudable group for ten years and have always enjoyed my contacts with other members….so here is hoping to make that a bit more frequent.
I am looking forward to seeing some of the publicity in action, the more members the better of course.Has anyone contacted the ‘Dorset’ magazine they are always doing interesting profiles?
On another note I see that we are being charged a huge sum for the AGM meeting room. I wanted to mention that there are plenty of much cheaper suitable places around if we wanted to save a bit of sterling.
Cheers for now and ……
‘KEEP TRADING’ (this to be said in sing song ‘Brucie’ voice!)

For part of the summer holidays this year I rented my home ‘Riverside Lodge’ in Fordington Dorchester out as a holiday home. I got a lot of help from LETS members in preparation for this and I would like to thank them through this page:
Rob Veal, Justine Oakley, Don Watts, Sabine Bale, Elizabeth Goodchild, Jill and James Armstrong, Anna Celeste Watson, Steve Atkins, Doug Amer, Sue and Nigel Mykura, Andy Mott and Kate Williams.
I took myself off to a couple of festivals, visited my family and as I still had SOME work to do, I stayed with one or two friends locally. I would esspecially like to highlight the acommodation offered by LETS members Sue and Nigel Mykura. Their Monmouth Road home was a lovely comfortable place to stay, with excellent hospitality and a very warm welcome was received – all for Marts! I can recommend it to anyone who has family, friends staying and perhaps needs an extra bed or two.
