LETS Photography for TV Presenter Nick Ashron

If you weren’t already impressed by the quality of the professional Photography offered on our LETS by Steve Atkins -  see http://dorchesterlets.wordpress.com/2009/08/25/lets-photography-for-riverside-lodge-self-catering-cottage-in-dorchester-dorset,  then South West Dorset LETS also has nationally acclaimed Portrait Photographer Pete Millson who you may remember did an exhibition and book on our very own LETS Community – see http://dorchesterlets.wordpress.com/2009/07/22/lets-see-portraits-of-a-community-book-now-available.

Anna Celeste Watson (me, your LETS Web Manager!) recently commissioned Pete for a photoshoot to promote my Dad – Psychic Artist, Musician, Author & TV Presenter Nick Ashron – and his show Nick Ashron’s Lightworker’s Guide to the Galaxy on Controversial TV Sky 200 (also available to watch online).

Another great reason to use LETS I think! It’s amazing that professional people are also prepared to offer their services by exchange for people who would otherwise not be able to afford to pay them, so thanks again Pete!

Check out a selection of photos below taken at Thornecombe Woods near Dorchester:

You can commission Pete Millson for your own professional photographs through LETS. Check out his website www.petemillson.com and blog http://petemillson.wordpress.com.

LETS Photography for Riverside Lodge Self Catering Cottage in Dorchester

Riverside Lodge Dorset Website for LETS Member Katy Murrell

Riverside Lodge Dorset Website for LETS Member Katy Murrell

LETS Member Katy Murrell made full use of the services offered on Dorchester & South Dorset LETS, to help her set-up her new self catering holiday cottage business. Fellow LETS member Steve Atkins offers his talents to our members as a professional Photographer, and he took some beautiful photos of Katy’s holiday cottage Riverside Lodge which are used on the website and brochure.

Check out the new Riverside Lodge website and photos at www.riversidelodgedorset.co.uk which was created by another LETS member (our very own Web Manager!) Anna Celeste Watson. There are several other members offering web services on LETS too!

Your LETS Trading Stories here please!

Dorchester LETS needs more members and a wider public awareness of our existence. One way of publicising the group is to get more articles in the local paper – and one way to get an article accepted is to have an interesting story to relate with some some kind of ’spin’ on it. Green issues are also hot on the minds of the public and the press, so more of your green stories wanted please! If you have any interesting or unsual trading stories please write an article and send it to us to forward onto the press – you can also post any of your trading stories below.

‘Shed Gang’ by Don Watts

You’ve heard of the “Garden Shed Gang”, now we can reveal the “Shed Gang”, though “gang” doesn’t seem to do justice to the great teamwork and creativity exhibited when we moved Pam’s 6′ x 8′ shed in May 2008 in one piece!!! Our skilled effort was duly rewarded with a beer and biscuits – plus the pleasure of more LETS social intercourse! Good experience guys – thank you Andy, Matt, Rob and of course Pam.
